HANGING YOUR WIND CHIME: Sometimes it can take a few tries to find just the right spot for your chimes. Try to hang your chime where they will catch the prevailing breeze, and hanging them higher will maximise how much breeze it will catch.
Whilst your chimes are made to be weather resistant, hanging them under cover out of direct exposure to sun and rain will extend the life of the carbon monofilament and the finish, maintaining their good looks for the longest time possible.
All timber parts of our wind chimes have been treated with Intergrain Ultradeck to ensure the longest possible maintenance-free period. When the timber does look as though it needs a little care, simply recoat using Ultradeck or the outdoor oil of your choice to renew the timber finish.
We also strongly recommend you spray inside the tubes every few months without door surface spray to prevent insects nesting inside.
